 Collin McKinney: Texas Patriot and Statesman

The Collin County History Museum features an exhibit in the downstairs gallery, that highlights the life of Collin McKinney. Visitors can learn about Collin McKinney’s role as a settler, surveyor, church founder, and member of the committee that drafted the Texas Declaration of Independence. The exhibit includes a scale model and historic photos of Collin McKinney’s home.  McKinney and Collin County were named in his honor of Collin McKinney.
