A Season of Giving, The Collin County Poor Farm: Presented by Pat Rodgers,

The Collin County Poor Farm located in McKinney from the early 1900s to the 1950s was the face of poverty’s past. The county carried the welfare burden, and the indigents came to the manual labor poor house and farm. Meet the real people and follow their personal stories as they worked the fields, planted the crops and reaped the harvest.
A Night on the Town by Pat Rodgers
This video chronicles McKinney's earliest gatherings in 1842, celebrating barn raising with food and dancing, to the arrival of the circus and Wild West Shows, the opening of The Heard Opera House and the many movie theaters that followed.
